The ProLinx EtherNet/IP to PROFIBUS DP Slave Gateway creates a powerful connection between devices on an EtherNet/IP network and a PROFIBUS master device.

This stand-alone DIN-rail mounted protocol gateway provides one Ethernet port and one PROFIBUS DP Slave configurable DB9F port. The Ethernet/IP protocol driver supports the Explicit Messaging implementation of the protocol. User-configurable as both a Client and a Server, the EtherNet/IP port is a very powerful data transfer tool.

The PROFIBUS DP Slave protocol driver supports the PROFIBUS V0 Slave implementation, providing powerful data transfer capability between the ProLinx module and Siemens PLCs or other hosts. User configurable data mapping and DP port operation make the interface an easy to use and powerful data transfer tool.

The EtherNet/IP protocol is one of the primary connectivity tools to the different Rockwell Automation platforms. The Explicit Messaging aspect of the protocol (only) has been implemented in the ProLinx units to provide the data transfer link between the ProLinx units and the Rockwell Automation hardware.

modern technology
ABB has always been a leader in research and development, committed to rapidly applying the latest technologies to its products. Some current developments are closely related to the power generation industry.
The latest ABB variable speed drive, which uses a frequency converter to control the motor speed, can greatly reduce the costs of the power generation industry, which heavily uses lossy components, such as throttle valves and hydraulic couplers.
The new challenge facing the power generation industry is carbon capture and carbon storage, and as long as this problem can be solved, all other problems will be easily solved. This requires very powerful drivers to handle a large amount of flue gas and use larger and more professional compressor drivers to transport CO2 and introduce oxygen for combustion. ABB has designed and manufactured synchronous motors with an output power exceeding 50MW for such applications.
The future carbon limiting economy is likely to bring other requirements that cannot be accurately predicted today. ABB is fully prepared to meet these challenges. For example, the excellent efficiency and control of permanent magnet motors may be crucial, or the use of ABB ultra large high-voltage compressor motors directly connected to the 60kV power grid is also crucial.
ABB Motors integrates years of rich experience and is highly suitable for power plant applications, based on the most applicable technology, worthy of the trust of power plant designers and operators.
