Description

A redundant analog output function block, AOUTR, is used for each redundant pair of outputs. The AOUTR block handles output writes and initialization logic for the redundant channels. On each execution cycle of the AOUTR block, identical output writes are sent to both modules, fully exercising the fieldbus and the logic circuitry of each module. When a failure is detected in one of the modules, its output is driven to 0 mA and the corresponding channel in the good module automatically continues supplying the proper current to the output current loop. A redundant analog input function block, AINR, is used for each redundant pair of inputs. The AINR block handles input reads and initialization logic for the redundant channels. On each execution cycle of the AINR block, identical reads are sent to both modules, fully exercising the fieldbus and the logic circuitry of each module.

After writing the designed program into the PLC, first carefully check each item and correct any errors that may occur during writing. User programs are usually simulated and debugged in the laboratory first. The actual input signals can be simulated using button switches and buttons, and the on/off status of each output quantity is displayed using the relevant LED on the PLC. Generally, there is no need to connect the actual load of the PLC (such as contactors, solenoid valves, etc.). You can use switches or buttons to simulate actual feedback signals, such as the making and breaking of limit switch contacts, according to the functional diagram at appropriate times.

For sequential control programs, the main task of debugging programs is to check whether the program runs in accordance with the provisions of the functional diagram, that is, whether there is a correct change in the active state of a step when a certain conversion condition is implemented, that is, whether all previous steps of the conversion become inactive steps, whether all subsequent steps become active steps, and whether the load driven by each step has changed accordingly. During debugging, full consideration should be given to various possible situations, and each branch in the system’s various working modes, selected sequence of function chart diagrams, and various possible progress routes should be checked one by one without omission.

After discovering problems, the ladder diagram and the program in the PLC should be modified in a timely manner until the relationship between input and output quantities fully meets the requirements in various possible situations. If the setting values of some timers or counters in the program are too large, in order to shorten debugging time, they can be reduced during debugging, and their actual setting values can be written after simulating debugging. At the same time as designing and simulating debugging programs, a control console or control cabinet can be designed and manufactured, and the installation and wiring work of other hardware besides PLC can also be carried out simultaneously.
