Description

The FBM230 is equipped with four ports, each of which can be configured to use either the RS-232, RS-422, or RS-485 physical interface standard. The FBM230 supports single-ported devices utilizing either the Modbus RTU or Modbus ASCII communication protocols, and provides a serial interface between the I/A Series system and the devices. Refer to PSS 21H-2Z30 B4.

The set values of 32-bit bidirectional counters C200 to C234 are -2 147 483 648 to 2 147 483 647. The add/subtract counting method is set by special auxiliary relays M8200 to M8234. When the corresponding special auxiliary relay is ON, it is subtracted counting, and vice versa, it is added counting.

The setting value of a 32-bit counter can be set not only by the constant K, but also by specifying a data register. The 32-bit setting value is stored in two data registers connected by the component number. If D0 is specified, the set values are stored in D1 and D0. The set value of C200 in Figure 3-14 is 5. When adding a count, if the current value of the counter changes from 4-5, the output contact of the counter is ON. When the current value is ≥ 5, the output contact is still ON. When the current value ranges from 5 to 4, the output contact is OFF, and when the current value is ≤ 4, the output contact is still OFF.

The current value of the counter increases by 1 when the maximum value is 2 147 483 647, which will become the minimum value -2 147 483 648. Similarly, when the current value -2 147 483 648 decreases by 1, it will become the maximum value 2 147 483 647. This type of counter is called a “ring counter”.

When the normally open contact of reset input X13 in Figure 3-14 is turned on, C200 is reset, its normally open contact is opened, the normally closed contact is turned on, and the current value is set to. If a battery backup/latch counter is used, the counter stops counting when the power is interrupted and maintains the current value of the count. After the power is turned on again, the count continues on the basis of the current value, so the battery backup/latch counter can accumulate counts.
