The following cable diagrams may be different from cable diagrams recommended by External Device Manufacturer. Please be assured there is no operational problem in applying the cable diagram shown in this manual.

• The FG pin of the External Device body must be grounded according to your country’s applicable standard. Refer to your External Device manual for details.

• SG and FG are connected inside the Display. When connecting the External Device to SG, design your system to avoid short-circuit loops.

• Connect an isolation unit if the communication is not stable due to noise or other factors.

The error code characteristic of the external device is displayed in 2 Byte of “Major Error Status Code (1 Byte)” and “Minor Error Status Code (1 Byte)”. When received the error code from the external device, add to the below message. “Major Error Status Code” is displayed continuously “Major” and “Minor Error Status Code” is displayed continuously “Minor”. For details of the error code, please refer to the manual of the external device.

Industrial control network technology is closely related to the development of computer technology, network technology, and control technology, and it was proposed and developed under the requirements of modernization for industrial production. At the same time, the logical functions completed by the upper computer are different from those of ordinary sites. In addition, the upper computer has added network configuration functions. This type of control system is called a Distributed Control System, or DCS. In the late 1980s, improvements were made to DCS, and network protocols and results suitable for industrial environments were developed based on DCS. Communication between sensor and controller layers was achieved, known as Field Bus.

Among them, the industrial control network is an important component of the industrial enterprise network and an indispensable part of the industrial enterprise network.
