YPH105E performs signal conversion required to interface electrical input signals from field sensors to the redundant module Fieldbus. In addition, it executes programs for Discrete Input, Ladder Logic,Pulse Count, and Sequence of Events, with configurable options of Input Filter Time.YPH105E can be used as a single unit, or as a redundant pair (two FBM207s). When used as a redundant pair, the modules combine to provide redundancy at the Fieldbus Module (FBM) level, with field input signals received from one common termination assembly though a redundant adapter affixed to the FBMs’ baseplate. The input current for redundant modules is doubled. A redundant digital input block in the Foxboro Evo™ Control Software validates each input in conjunction with information to/from the module, and selects the input with the highest quality for processing in the control strategy. In a redundant configuration, contact sense power from each module is diode OR’d together in the redundant adapter to assure redundant power.

The YPH105E supports the following PROFIBUS communication speeds: 9.6 kbit/s, 19.2 kbit/s, 45.45 kbit/s, 93.75 kbit/s, 187.5kbit/s, 500 kbit/s, 1.5 Mbit/s, 3 Mbit/s, 6 Mbit/s, 12 Mbit/s.The RPBA-01 automatically detects the communication speed and PPO-type used.

Each device on the PROFIBUS network must have a unique node number. This parameter is used to define a node number for the drive it is connected to, if the node address selection switches are set to the zero position. When the node address selector switches are used to define the node address (node address selectors not in zero position) this parameter indicates the set node address.In order to give the fieldbus master station the most complete control over the drive, the communication module must be selected as source for this information. See the user documentation of the drive for information on the selection parameters.
