Description
- Verify that the input voltage (230V AC) matches the local power supply. Check the package contents: UPS unit, power cord, user manual, and mounting hardware (if applicable).
- Inspect the UPS for physical damage. Ensure the installation location is dry, well-ventilated, and away from direct sunlight, heat sources, or conductive materials. Maintain a minimum clearance of 15cm around the unit for airflow.
- Remove the UPS from the packaging and place it on a flat, stable surface. For rack mounting (if supported), use the provided rails and secure the unit to the rack using M6 screws (torque: 2.5–3 N·m).
- Avoid placing the UPS near sensitive electronic equipment that may be affected by electromagnetic interference.
- Plug the UPS input power cord into a grounded 230V AC outlet. Do not use extension cords or ungrounded outlets.
- For external battery packs (if used), connect the battery cables to the UPS’s external battery terminals, following the polarity markings (+/-). Ensure connections are tight to prevent arcing.
- Connect critical equipment to the UPS’s output outlets (labeled “LOAD”). Prioritize devices based on power requirements; total load must not exceed 3kVA.
- Avoid connecting high-surge devices (e.g., printers, motors) directly to the UPS, as they may overload the system during startup.
- Press the power button on the front panel. The UPS will perform a self-test (LEDs flash sequentially), and the “ON” LED will illuminate once the test is complete.
- The LCD display will show input voltage, output voltage, load percentage, and battery status.
- In normal mode, the UPS converts AC input to DC, charges the battery, and converts back to AC output with AVR to stabilize voltage (160–280V input range).
- Monitor the LCD for real-time data: load >90% triggers a warning; load >100% causes an overload alarm.
- If the input power fails, the UPS switches to battery mode instantly (zero transfer time). The “BATTERY” LED illuminates, and the alarm beeps once.
- The LCD displays remaining runtime. Save work and shut down equipment gracefully before the battery depletes.
