When the apparatus is connected to its power supply, terminals may be live. Opening covers or removing parts—except for parts that can be accessed by hand—is likely to expose live components.

The apparatus must be disconnected from all voltage sources before it is opened for any operations. Operations performed on the opened apparatus while it is still energized may only be carried out by an expert who is fully aware of the associated hazards.

Capacitors inside the apparatus may remain charged even after the apparatus has been disconnected from all voltage sources.

Only fuses of the specified type and rated current may be used as replacements. Makeshift fuses are not permitted. Additionally, the fuse-holder must not be short-circuited.

Whenever there is a possibility that the apparatus’ protective functions have been impaired, the apparatus shall be rendered inoperative and secured to prevent any unintended operation.

It must be assumed that the protective functions have been impaired if:

The apparatus shows visible signs of damage;
The apparatus no longer functions properly;
The apparatus has been stored in unfavorable conditions for an extended period;
The apparatus has been subjected to adverse transport conditions.

All voltages hazardous to touch (including the mains voltage for the power supply and voltages at relay plug-in modules) must be disconnected before installing any modules.

During operation, the sub-assembly must be slid into the case and interlocked using twist screw 6.

Installation Steps for the Bus PCB

Insert bus PCB (printed circuit board) 1 into backplane 2 from above, and align it with the mating plug 3.
Place a screwdriver with a broad blade on point 4, positioned between backplane 2 and bus PCB 1.
Press bus PCB 1 into the mating plug 3 by rotating the screwdriver around its longitudinal axis—continue until the latch snaps into place.
