Description

SV3000 Operating Tips

1. Viewing and Storing Parameters

  • Press the PROG key to display the last used parameter in the Level 0 Main Menu. If the PROG key is used for the first time after power-up, the first parameter (Setpoint Pr0) will be shown.
  • Hold down the STATUS/MENU key to return to a lower-level parameter menu heading until the desired menu is displayed.
  • When “Editing” or modifying a parameter value, always press the EDIT key to save the change. Pressing the PROG key will exit program mode without storing the latest modification, and the parameter will revert to its previous value.

2. Defaulting Parameter Values

  • If parameters have been modified from factory defaults and you wish to retain the new values, set Pr220 (Set User Defaults) to store them. For improper parameter changes, reset Pr223 (Default All User) to restore all parameters to the user-defined values.
  • To revert all parameters to original factory settings, use Pr222 (Default All Factory). Note that all user modifications will be erased and must be re-entered manually.
  • To restore only the parameters in a single menu to factory defaults, use the “Default This Menu” option located near the end of each menu.

⚠️ CAUTION: This operation only restores the selected menu’s parameters to factory defaults, not user-defined values.

  • Defaulting parameters (to factory or user settings) is protected by a security code. If a security code is set, the correct code must be entered to perform the default operation.
  • After restoring factory defaults, run the Tune Test (Section 3.9) before operating the motor.

3. Security Codes

  • A security code protects parameter values from accidental or intentional improper changes. All parameters remain viewable, but only specific menus can be programmed.
  • The first digit of the 3-digit security code determines the “locked” menu level and above. For example, a security code of 147 allows programming only in the Level 0 Main Menu; menus Level 100 and above are protected.
  • Attempting to edit a security code-protected parameter will prompt for the current code. Incorrect entry will block the change. If the security code is lost, contact Warner Electric Applications Engineering for instructions to clear it.
  • The security code does not prevent parameter changes via the serial link.
