Technical Specifications of SDCS-MEM-8 Memory Card & SDCS-DSL-4 Board

1. SDCS-MEM-8 Memory Card

The SDCS-MEM-8 Memory Card is designed to store application programs created using Control Builder DCS800.

The Memory Card must be inserted into Slot 4 (mandatory installation position).
Control Builder DCS800 is a user-friendly development tool built on the standard CoDeSys platform. It enables direct development of application programs—including functions for winders, decentralized controls, and more—within the drive system.
Pre-configured (ready-made) applications for winder and crane systems are pre-stored on the Memory Card for immediate use.

2. SDCS-DSL-4 Board

The SDCS-DSL-4 board facilitates connectivity to the DCSLink network, with key features and specifications as follows:

The SDCS-DSL-4 board is installed by plugging it into Connector X8 of the SDCS-CON-4 board. Through this connection, it simultaneously provides a DCSLink interface for the following functions:
- Field exciters
- Master-follower communication
- 12-pulse communication
- Drive-to-drive communication
Connector X51 supplies 24 V DC power for field exciters of models FEX-425-Int, DCF803-0016, and DCF803-0035. This power supply includes short-circuit protection and supports a maximum output current of 250 mA.
Connectors X52 and X53 both serve as DCSLink interfaces. These two connectors are wired in parallel, allowing two separate cables to be connected to distinct plugs (for flexible wiring configurations).
Connector X54 is not currently utilized (reserved for potential future functionality).
Jumper S1 is used to configure bus termination. Bus termination is mandatory at the two physical endpoints of the DCSLink bus, and this jumper enables proper termination setup.
Jumper S2 controls ground termination. The ground can be terminated in one of two ways:
- Direct termination
- Termination via an R-C (resistor-capacitor) network
