Any use other than that described in Chapter 2.2 is unintended and may result in personal injury, equipment damage, or property loss.

The servo amplifier must not be used in the following environments:

Potentially explosive areas
Environments containing corrosive and/or electrically conductive substances (e.g., acids, alkaline solutions, oils, vapors, dusts)
Directly on non-grounded power supply networks or asymmetrically grounded supplies with a voltage exceeding 240V
Marine or offshore applications

Commissioning of the servo amplifier is prohibited if the machine in which it is installed:

Fails to meet the requirements of the EC Machinery Directive
Does not comply with the EMC Directive or the Low Voltage Directive
Violates any national directives

Additionally, relying solely on the S700 to control holding brakes is prohibited in applications where functional safety must be ensured by the brake.

Handling

Transport

Transport must be performed by qualified personnel using the manufacturer’s original recyclable packaging.
Avoid shocks during transport.
Transport temperature range: -25 to +70°C, with a maximum rate of change of 20K/hour (Class 2K3 per EN 61800-2 and EN 60721-3-1).
Transport humidity: Maximum 95% relative humidity, with no condensation (Class 2K3 per EN 61800-2 and EN 60721-3-1).
If packaging is damaged, inspect the unit for visible damage. In such cases, notify both the shipper and the manufacturer.

The servo amplifier contains electrostatically sensitive components, which may be damaged by improper handling. Discharge static electricity from your body before touching the unit. Avoid contact with highly insulating materials (e.g., synthetic fabrics, plastic films). Place the servo amplifier on a conductive surface.

Storage humidity: 5–95% relative humidity, with no condensation (Class 1K3 per EN 61800-2 and EN 60721-3-1).
Storage duration:
- Less than 1 year: No restrictions.
- More than 1 year: Capacitors must be re-formed before setup and operation. To do this: disconnect all electrical connections, then apply single-phase 230V AC to terminals L1 and L2 for approximately 30 minutes.

2.4.4 Maintenance and Cleaning

The device requires no maintenance. Opening the device will void the warranty.

Cleaning guidelines:

For a dirty casing: Clean with isopropanol or a similar solvent.

NOTICE: Do not immerse or spray the unit.
For internal dirt: Must be cleaned by the manufacturer.
For a dirty fan protective grill: Clean with a dry brush.
