Power Supply Wiring

Power input: Connect DC 24V (typical industrial standard) to terminals L+ (positive) and M (negative).

Voltage tolerance: 20.4V–28.8V DC (stable power supply is required to prevent module damage).

Polarity protection: Do not reverse positive and negative terminals; otherwise, internal components may burn out.

Signal Wiring (Digital I/O Module as Example)

Digital input terminals (DI1–DIx): Connect to sensors (e.g., proximity switches, photoelectric sensors) or switch signals.

Dry contact input: Connect the signal wire to the DI terminal and the common wire to the COM terminal.

NPN/PNP compatibility: Confirm the module’s input type (marked on the housing) and match the sensor’s output type.

Digital output terminals (DO1–DOx): Connect to actuators (e.g., relays, solenoid valves).

Load current limit: Each channel typically supports ≤2A; use an intermediate relay for loads exceeding the limit.

Grounding and Shielding

Protective grounding: Connect the PE terminal to the system’s protective ground (ground resistance ≤4Ω).

Signal grounding: Connect the signal ground (GND) to the control system’s common ground (single-point grounding is recommended).

Shielded wire handling: Strip the shielding layer at the terminal end (expose 3–5mm conductors) and ground the shielding layer at one end (near the control cabinet).
