1. Analog Outputs

2. Analog Inputs

Analog values can be read via terminals X3C/21-22 (Analog-In 3) and X3C/24-25 (Analog-In 4) and used with preprogrammed functions.

3. Guide to Installing Expansion Cards

Installing an expansion card in Slot 3 follows a similar procedure to that described for Slot 1 (see p. 107):

Remove the yellow-marked area of the front foil (Marking 3).
Pry out the underlying cover plate.
Remove the printed circuit board (STO Bridge) inserted in the slot using suitable pliers.
Insert the expansion card into the slot.
Secure the front plate of the expansion card with the provided screws.

4. Option “F2” – Regulated Fan

To reduce noise emissions, servo amplifiers can be ordered with the integrated F2 option (retrofitting is not possible). Depending on customer requirements, this option occupies either Slot 2 or 3 (not visible externally) – refer to the type code on p. 22.

Function

The installed fan is switched on/off or operates at 50% of the rated speed based on temperature measurements and brake power consumption, significantly reducing the average noise level.
