S60600-PB Motor Connector with Shield Plate

1. First, push the rubber sleeve onto the cable. Then, strip off approximately 70mm of the outer sheath, taking care not to damage the shielding.
2. Carefully separate the shielding braid from the cores.
3. Twist the shielding braid into a pigtail and secure it to the sleeve with wire.
4. Shorten the brake cores to 55mm and the power cores to 45mm.
5. Fold back the excess length of the shielding pigtail so it faces forward.
6. Strip off about 10mm from the ends of the cores. This length may vary depending on the type of bootlace ferrule used.
7. Attach bootlace ferrules to the conductors.
8. Place the shield plate in the bottom half of the connector housing.
9. Position the cable in the strain relief such that the folded shielding pigtail rests on the shield plate, ensuring the tie-wire is not clamped.
10. Tighten the screws, taking care not to crush the cable.
11. Insert the connector into the housing. Ensure the tongue of the shield plate sits in the PE clamp.
12. Wire the connector according to the wiring diagram on page 50, then tighten the clamping screws. Make sure no insulation is trapped underneath.
13. Close the housing.
