Debugging Procedures for S21260-SRS Servo Drive

1. Pre-Commissioning Preparation

• Ensure the drive model (S21260-SRS) matches the motor specifications (voltage, current, power rating).
• Verify all wiring connections comply with the S200 series technical manual:
  • Securely fasten power terminals (DC bus, control voltage) to prevent loose contacts.
  • Check motor phase wiring (U/V/W) for correct polarity and no short circuits.
  • Confirm encoder feedback wiring (if applicable) is properly shielded and connected to the designated interface.
• Inspect the drive for physical damage (e.g., cracked casings, damaged connectors) and ensure the installation environment meets requirements (temperature: 0–40°C, humidity: 10–90% non-condensing).
• Power off all related equipment before starting debugging to avoid electrical hazards.

2. Power-Up Initialization

• Apply DC bus voltage (20–90 VDC) and control voltage (10–90 VDC) as specified in the power supply requirements.

• Configure safety-related parameters:
  • Overload protection threshold (default: 150% of rated current, adjustable).
  • Undervoltage/overvoltage protection limits (20 VDC–90 VDC for DC bus).
  • Overheating protection (default: 85°C, self-resetting).
• Save parameter settings to non-volatile memory (NV) to retain configurations after power cycling.

4. Functional Testing

4.1 No-Load Test

• Disable the drive’s enable signal (DI1 or designated enable input) and initiate a no-load run:
  • In Speed mode: Set a low target speed (e.g., 500 rpm) and enable the drive.
  • In Position mode: Input a small position increment (e.g., 1000 counts) and execute a single move.
• Verify:
  • The motor runs smoothly without abnormal noise or vibration.
