General Description:
The RCU502i is a field-mounted remote control and I/O processing unit developed for Kongsberg K-Chief 700 and K-Safe marine monitoring and control systems, widely deployed on commercial vessels and offshore installations for local signal acquisition, logic processing and field-level equipment control. It acts as an intermediate interface between field sensors, actuators and the central supervisory system, delivering reliable real-time data exchange under harsh maritime operating conditions.
Power Input:
Nominal 24 V DC operating power, supports limited voltage fluctuation for marine power network, reverse-polarity protection built-in. Digital input section includes 8-channel galvanically isolated digital binary inputs for collecting switch status, alarm contacts and sensor discrete signals.
Output Interfaces:
4-channel relay-type digital outputs to drive on-site actuators, alarm indicators and auxiliary field devices. Communication outputs contain one Ethernet port and one RS-485 serial interface, supporting system bus communication with main control nodes and peripheral I/O modules.
