1.1 Product and Package Inspection​

Verify that the sensor model (PR6423/002-030-CN) matches the project specification.​

Check for physical damage (e.g., cracked probe, damaged cable insulation, bent connector pins) and ensure all accessories are complete (mounting bracket, fixing bolts, washer, cable gland, user manual).​

1.2 Environmental and Equipment Requirements​

Confirm the installation location meets the sensor’s operating conditions:​

Operating temperature: -40°C ~ +120°C (-40°F ~ +248°F)​

Relative humidity: 0% ~ 100% (condensing allowed with proper protection)​

Vibration resistance: Compliant with IEC 60068-2-6 (10~2000Hz, 10g acceleration)​

Ensure the measured surface (rotating shaft) is clean, free of rust, oil stains, or scratches; the surface roughness should be Ra 0.8~3.2μm.​

1.3 Tool and Material Preparation​

Prepare tools: Torque wrench (range 0~20N·m), caliper (precision ±0.01mm), wire stripper, screwdriver set, anti-static wristband.​

Prepare materials: Shielded twisted-pair cable (2-core/4-core, rated voltage ≥500V), cable gland (matching cable diameter), insulation tape, and grounding clamp.​

2.1 Positioning the Bracket​

Remove the protective cap from the sensor probe tip.​

Use a caliper to measure the air gap between the probe tip and the shaft surface (standard gap: 1.0±0.1mm; refer to the product nameplate for specific values).​

Adjust the probe’s position by rotating it clockwise (reducing gap) or counterclockwise (increasing gap) until the required air gap is achieved.​

Lock the probe with the lock nut using a torque wrench (locking torque: 5~7N·m); recheck the air gap after locking to ensure no deviation.​
