1. Power Sequencing Requirements
Critical Violation: Never apply I/O power before +5V main power
- Tolerances:
- +5V main: ±5% (4.75-5.25V)
- +3.3V I/O: ±3% (3.2-3.4V)
- Sequence Timing:

Power-down: 3.3V must drop last
2. Thermal Management
- Airflow:
- Minimum: 2.5m/s laminar flow across heatsink
- Orientation: Vertical mounting preferred
- Derating Curve:
- 100% performance @ ≤55°C case temperature
- Throttling starts @ 70°C (register 0x1F0 bit 7)

4. Debug Interface Protocol
- JTAG Connection:
- Pin 1 (TCK) must have 33Ω series termination
- TDI/TDO daisy-chain order per VMEbus spec
- Abort Recovery:
- Assert SYSRESET for ≥200ms after watchdog timeout
5. Firmware Update Rules
- Pre-Update:
- Disable all interrupts (MSR[EE]=0)
- Verify flash block checksum (CRC32)
- During Update:
- Maintain UPS power (≥30min reserve)
- No VMEbus accesses allowed
- Post-Update:
- Mandatory NVRAM reset (jumper J12)
6. Mechanical Stresses
- Vibration: ≤5Grms (10-2000Hz per MIL-STD-810G)
- Shock Survival: 50G, 11ms half-sine pulse
- Conformal Coating: Required for corrosive environments
