Built-in 4-character scrolling alphanumeric LED display for real-time status and diagnostic message output. LED indicator lights cover module status, application status and Ethernet link-activity signals. Main Characteristics
Single-slot ControlLogix 1756 chassis compatible hardware structure, fits both local and remote rack installation. Reduced data block architecture optimizes backplane bandwidth consumption especially for remote rack application. Operates as Modbus TCP client and server simultaneously; supports maximum 32 client connections and 8 server connections. 1500 V RMS electrical isolation implemented between backplane side and Ethernet field ports to suppress ground loop interference. Personality compact flash card stores full module configuration, enabling hot-swap replacement without re-programming. ProSoft Configuration Builder (PCB) Windows-based graphical software supports offline-online configuration, diagnostics and firmware upgrade. CIPconnect function permits remote configuration and diagnostics across multi-segment EtherNet/IP or ControlNet networks. Add-On-Instruction (AOI) and sample ladder logic files simplify data integration inside RSLogix 5000 environment. ProSoft Discovery Service utility helps locate modules on network and assign temporary IP address. Backward compatible with legacy MVI56-MNET module, existing logic can be reused with minimal modification. Passes industrial shock and vibration test: 30 g operational shock, 50 g non-operational shock, 5 g vibration from 10-150 Hz. Compliance with CE, cULus, ATEX and RoHS industrial certification standards. Built-in diagnostic counters and event log facilitate on-site communication fault troubleshooting.
