Safety Precautions

Disconnect all power sources (24V AC and network power) before installation, wiring, or maintenance to prevent electric shock or equipment damage.

Ensure compliance with local electrical codes (NEC, IEC, UL/CSA standards) during installation.

Avoid installing the controller in environments with extreme temperature (-20°C~60°C operating range is not exceeded), high humidity (95% non-condensing max), or direct exposure to water, dust, or corrosive substances.

Use only specified power supplies (20.4V~28.8V AC, 50/60Hz) to avoid component failure.

Do not modify the controller’s internal circuitry; unauthorized modifications will void the warranty.

Hardware Installation

3.1 Installation Requirements

Mounting Type: DIN rail (35mm standard) or panel mount

Installation Location: Dry, well-ventilated area with minimal electromagnetic interference (EMI)

Clearance: Maintain at least 10cm of space around the controller for heat dissipation

3.2 Installation Steps

Verify the controller is intact (no physical damage to housing or terminals) before installation.

Secure the controller to the DIN rail or panel using the provided mounting brackets/screws.

Ensure the installation surface is flat and stable to prevent vibration-related issues.

Route cables (power, communication, and I/O wires) to avoid sharp edges or pressure points.

Initial Setup

4.1 Power Connection

Locate the power terminal block labeled “L” (Line) and “N” (Neutral) on the controller.

Connect the 24V AC power supply to the corresponding terminals (refer to the wiring diagram in the official manual).

Tighten terminal screws to 0.5~0.8 N·m torque; ensure no loose wire strands are exposed.

Restore power and confirm the “POWER” LED (green) illuminates steadily.

4.2 Communication Setup

4.2.1 BACnet/IP Configuration

Connect an Ethernet cable (Cat5e/Cat6, shielded recommended) to the controller’s RJ45 port (labeled “ETH”).

Connect the other end to the Metasys BMS network switch/router.

Verify the “LINK” LED (yellow) on the Ethernet port is lit (indicates successful network connection).

4.2.2 N2 Bus Configuration (If Applicable)

Connect the N2 Bus positive (+) wire to the “N2+” terminal and negative (-) wire to the “N2-” terminal.

Install a 120Ω termination resistor at the first and last device on the N2 Bus.

Ground the cable shield at one end to minimize EMI.
