Equipped with Motorola’s low-power, high-performance PowerPC 750 microprocessor (with 1MB secondary cache), the module integrates a PCI bus for on-board peripherals, a processor/memory bus-to-PCI bus bridge, and a 64-bit bridge to the CompactPCI interface. It packs optimal performance and functionality into a single CompactPCI slot, maximizing the capabilities of Motorola’s low-power, high-performance microprocessor.

The TMCP700 transition module provides industry-standard connector access to the following interfaces:

Two USB Series A receptacles
EIDE and floppy connectors
Two RJ-45 connectors (for asynchronous serial ports configured as EIA DTE)
Two HD-26 connectors (for sync/async serial ports, labeled Serial 3 and Serial 4 on the front panel)
The sync/async serial ports (Serial 3/4) are user-configurable individually as EIA-232, EIA-530, V.35, or X.21 (DCE or DTE) via Motorola’s serial interface modules (SIMs).
