Delivers full galvanic isolation between hazardous-area field circuit and non-hazardous-side RIO200 control circuit, eliminating ground-loop interference and improving signal stability under heavy marine electromagnetic disturbance. It conditions 4-20 mA analog sensor signals as well as binary on-off status signals from hazardous-area instruments, converting them into compatible signal levels for downstream RIO200 input modules. Continuous internal self-monitoring detects power supply drop-off, internal circuit failure and field-side short-circuit faults, activates dedicated fault flag and front-panel alarm LED upon abnormality. Designed for hot-swap compatible installation within RIO200 system cabinet, it supports quick module replacement without shutting down the whole automation system. Rugged hardware construction withstands shipboard mechanical shock, vibration and salt-fog corrosion, conforming to IEC 60092-506 marine electrical requirements. It realizes safe bidirectional signal transmission for temperature, pressure and level sensors deployed in cargo tanks, pump rooms and offshore hazardous locations, and works cooperatively with RCU501 controllers to complete hazardous-area process monitoring for vessel machinery alarm monitoring and safety systems.
