SERVOSTAR 446M-C  Saving Parameters and Restarting

• If configuration parameters are changedA warning will appear indicating that the amplifier needs to be restarted (a “coldstart”). Click “YES”. The parameters will be automatically saved to the amplifier’s EEPROM, and a reset command will restart the amplifier (this takes a few seconds). This occurs, for example, after selecting a motor or feedback type.
• If other parameters are changedNo warning will appear. Parameters are only saved in volatile RAM.To manually save these parameters to the servo amplifier’s EEPROM, click the corresponding icon in the toolbar. A coldstart of the amplifier is not required.

Resetting the Amplifier

SERVOSTAR 446M-C  Jogging the Motor (Speed Control)

1. Switch on the power supply for the drive.
2. Hardware Enable: Apply +24 VDC to the Enable terminal [connector X1, pin 3].
3. Software Enable: Click the “Enable” button on the start screen or use the key combination Shift+F12. The front display will then show “E” along with the current rating (e.g., “E 3 A” for enabled with 3 A).
4. Click the “Oscilloscope” icon.
5. Select Service Mode “Speed F6”, then click the “Parameter” button.
6. Enter a safe speed. The sign (+/-) defines the direction of movement.

   Observe the “safe reduced speed” requirements for your application!

7. Click OK.
8. Start the service function (click the “Start” button or press F6).
9. Click OK on the warning notice.

   The operating mode will switch to “0”, and the output stage will be automatically enabled.

   The icon will turn green while the function is active.

10. The function remains active until you click the “Stop” button or press F9.
11. The output stage can be disabled by pressing the function key F12.
