S30661-NA Handling & Maintenance Guidelines

1 Transport

Transport by qualified personnel using the manufacturer’s original recyclable packaging.

Avoid shocks during transportation.

Transport temperature: -25 to +70°C, maximum temperature change rate 20K/hour (class 2K3 per EN61800-2, EN 60721-3-1).

Transport humidity: Maximum 95% relative humidity (no condensation), class 2K3 per EN61800-2, EN 60721-3-1.

CAUTION: The servo amplifiers contain electrostatically sensitive components that may be damaged by improper handling.

Discharge static electricity from your body before touching the servo amplifier.

Avoid contact with highly insulating materials (e.g., artificial fabrics, plastic films).

Place the servo amplifier on a conductive surface.

If the packaging is damaged, inspect the unit for visible damage immediately. Notify the shipper and manufacturer in such cases.

2 Packaging

Material: Recyclable cardboard with protective inserts.

Dimensions (H×W×D): 115×365×275 mm.

Labeling: Instrument label affixed to the exterior of the box.

3 Storage

Store only in the manufacturer’s original recyclable packaging.

Maximum stacking height: 8 cartons.

Storage temperature: -25 to +55°C, maximum temperature change rate 20K/hour (class 1K4 per EN61800-2, EN 60721-3-1).

Storage humidity: 5–95% relative humidity (no condensation), class 1K3 per EN61800-2, EN 60721-3-1.

Less than 1 year: No restrictions.

More than 1 year: Capacitors must be re-formed before commissioning and operation.

Disconnect all electrical connections.

Apply single-phase 230V AC to terminals L1/L2 for approximately 30 minutes.

4 Decommissioning

Decommissioning of drive system components is only permitted for qualified electrical engineering professionals.

DANGER: Lethal voltages! Risk of severe personal injury or death due to electric shock or arcing.

Switch off the main circuit breaker of the control cabinet.

Secure the system against unintended restart.

Lock the main circuit breaker.

Wait at least 5 minutes after disconnection before proceeding.

5 Maintenance and Cleaning

The device is maintenance-free. Opening the device will void the warranty. Internal cleaning is only permitted by the manufacturer.

Do not immerse or spray the device. Prevent liquids from entering the unit.

External Cleaning Procedure

Decommission the device (see Chapter 3.4).

Casing: Clean with isopropanol or a similar cleaning agent.

CAUTION: Highly flammable! Risk of explosion and fire.

Follow the safety instructions on the cleaning agent’s packaging.

Wait at least 30 minutes after cleaning before recommissioning the device.

Fan protective grill: Clean with a dry brush.

6 Disassembly

Disassembly of drive system components is only permitted for qualified electrical engineering professionals.

Decommission the device (see Chapter 3.4).

Check the temperature.

CAUTION: High temperature! Risk of minor burns.During operation, the drive’s heat sink may exceed 80°C (176°F). Before touching the device, verify the temperature and allow it to cool to below 40°C (104°F).

Disconnect all connectors. Remove the potential earth connection last.

Dismount the device: Loosen the fastening screws and remove the unit.
