Software Description

The digital servo amplifiers of the DIGIFAS 7150 must be adapted to the characteristics of your machine. Parameterization should not be performed directly on the amplifier, but via the operator software BS7200 running on a personal computer. The PC connects to the servo amplifier using a special cable. The operator software facilitates communication between the PC and the digifas™, enabling data and instruction exchange.

Parameters can be modified with minimal effort, and their effects on the drive are instantly observable due to the continuous online connection to the amplifier. Key process values (actual values) are simultaneously read from the amplifier and displayed on the PC monitor.

Any built-in interface modules (CONNECT modules) are automatically recognized, and additional parameters required for positional control or motion blocks are made available.

Operation Without a Connected Amplifier

If no amplifier is connected to the PC, the software can still be started, but keyboard input responses will be significantly delayed. This is because communication attempts between the PC and amplifier result in a time-out error message after the maximum waiting time.

In such cases, use the “Offline editing” mode (via the “Handling” menu page). This mode disables communication, allowing delay-free operation.

Edit Offline

Even without a connected servo amplifier, datasets can be displayed and processed by following these steps:

Set the parameter “Offline Editing” to ON.
Use the “Load from disk” command to load a dataset.
Adjust parameters as needed, then use “Save to disk” to store the modified dataset.

If a dataset is loaded and “Offline Editing” is set to OFF, the loaded dataset will be discarded.
If a servo amplifier is connected when “Offline Editing” is set to OFF, parameters stored in the amplifier will be read and displayed.

The status “OFFLINE” is shown in field 11 of the status line (second line, right side).

Select Directory

This function allows selection or creation of a directory on the hard disk.

How to Use:

Select a directory:Choose from the first 10 stored directories in the selection window using the ↑ or ↓ keys, then confirm by pressing Enter. For more than 10 directories, use the ← or → keys to navigate to previous/following directories.
