Motor Structure

The DBL/DBK series synchronous servomotors are three-phase brushless motors designed for high-quality servo applications. When paired with our digital servo amplifiers, they are particularly suitable for positioning tasks in industrial robots, machine tools, transfer lines, and similar equipment requiring high dynamics and stability.

These servomotors feature permanent magnets in the rotor. The neodymium-iron-boron (FeNdB) magnetic material ensures high dynamic performance. The stator houses a three-phase winding powered by the servo amplifier. The motor has no brushes; commutation is performed electronically in the servo amplifier.

Winding temperature is monitored by sensors integrated into the stator windings and signaled via a potential-free contact (normally closed). A resolver, acting as a feedback unit, is standard on all motors. The SERVOSTART® 600 series servo amplifiers detect the rotor position via the resolver and supply the motors with sinusoidal currents.

Motors are available with or without a built-in holding brake. If not factory-installed, the brake cannot be retrofitted later.

The motors are finished with an opaque black paint (RAL 9005) that is not resistant to solvents (e.g., trichloroethylene, thinners, or similar substances).

Shaft Output End

Force transmission occurs via the cylindrical shaft output end (fit k6) per DIN 748, featuring a tightening thread (for DBL1/DBL2 models) but no keyway.

Operation with pinions or toothed belts generates high radial forces. Permissible radial force values at the shaft end, dependent on speed, are shown in the diagrams in Chapter [specify chapter number]. Maximum values at 3000 rpm are listed in the technical data. If force is applied to the center of the free shaft end, the radial force (FR) can be increased by 10%.

Bearing service life is calculated based on 20,000 operating hours.

The axial force (FA) must not exceed FR/3.

Ideal backlash-free coupling elements include double-cone collets, optionally combined with sleeve-type metallic couplings.
