Input Specifications
This backplane receives operating DC power supply from matched BMXCPS series power supply module plugged onto the rack. It routes supply voltage across the X-bus trace to all 8 module slots. The X-bus input interface receives status data, configuration frames and process signals from CPU processor module. One dedicated XBE expansion bus input connector allows connection of additional X80 backplane racks for system hardware expansion. No external field signal input terminals are fitted on this rack itself.
Output Specifications
Backplane power traces deliver distributed DC operating power to each individual module slot. X-bus bus contacts output high-speed digital communication signals to CPU, I/O and communication modules installed in respective slots. The XBE port outputs X-bus signals to subsequent extended racks. All signal conversion and field-level I/O processing are completed by external plug-in modules instead of the backplane hardware. No direct field-wiring analog or discrete signal outputs are available on this unit.
