Description
1.9905-903 Specifications
Enclosure
NEMA 4 rating
Remote Reset
Support remote reset operation
Built-In Self-Test
Equipped with a built-in frequency generator
Enables individual testing of each unit while the prime mover remains on-line
Remote Overspeed Test
Configured with dedicated contacts
Allows individual testing of each unit during prime mover on-line operation
Key Lock
Prevents unauthorized personnel from performing programming or testing operations
Hot Replacement
Permits unit replacement without tripping the prime mover during device operation
Outputs
Provides a separate alarm output
Features an LED indicator to signal tripping of individual speed-sensing units
MPU Failure Indications
Equipped with separate LEDs for indicating MPU or MPU wiring failures
MPU Fail Timer
Triggers a timer immediately after a reset operation
Trips the prime mover if the prime mover speed does not reach the programmed value when the timer expires
Both timer duration and target speed are programmable parameters
MPU Fail Option
Each unit is configurable for MPU sudden loss scenarios
Option 1: Output both alarm and trip signals
Option 2: Output only an alarm signal
CPU Failure Indication
A dedicated LED indicator signals abnormal operation of any unit’s CPU

2.9905-903 Operator Interface
Each speed-sensing unit of the ProTech 203 system is equipped with:
A touch pad for operation input
A 2-line × 16-character LCD display for status and parameter visualization
A potentiometer for adjusting overspeed test frequency
A single key switch is connected to all three speed-sensing units to switch the system between MONITOR mode and PROGRAM mode
Effectively prevents unauthorized parameter changes
