Input Specifications
Power input accepts 24 VDC nominal operating voltage supplied by PAC8000 carrier base, typical operating current consumption ≤100 mA, maximum power consumption 1.5 W. PROFIBUS-DP communication input interface complies with RS485 physical layer standard, supporting baud rates ranging from 9.6 kbaud up to 12 Mbaud with auto-negotiation capability. Backplane side input receives digital process data and channel status signals from up to 24 pieces of PAC8000 I/O modules mounted on the same rack. Hardware address setting is available via rotary switches within range 1-126, and address can also be configured remotely through PROFIBUS host.
Output Specifications
PROFIBUS-DP slave communication output delivers cyclic I/O data and extended diagnostic telegrams to PROFIBUS-DP master station over RS485 bus. Backplane output transmits configuration parameters, control commands and HART transparent tunnelling signals to downstream PAC8000 I/O modules. Non-volatile memory retains module configuration parameters after power loss. Multi-LED indicator outputs provide visual status feedback for power, master communication, fault condition, redundancy and PROFIBUS link status.
