This communication adapter adopts built-in galvanic isolation circuit to form electrical separation between computer side and field controller side, effectively preventing ground loop interference and protecting PC and control hardware from voltage surges. It is equipped with a standard USB interface for PC connection and an RJ45 port for connecting target controllers via dedicated signal cables; the RJ45 interface transmits customized UART signals rather than standard Ethernet signals.
The maximum transmission speed reaches 115200 baud on the UART side, and 12 Mbit/s complying with USB 2.0 standard on the USB side. The device obtains 5 V operating power from the host PC USB port, and also supports auxiliary 5 V power supply via the RJ45 connector for special field scenarios.
The allowable operating ambient temperature ranges from -20°C to +70°C, while the storage temperature covers -40°C to +85°C. The operating relative humidity is kept between 5% and 90% under non-condensing conditions, adapting to indoor control room and general field service environments. The protection rating is IP20, designed for indoor use and not suitable for direct exposure in wet, dusty hazardous areas.
The hardware complies with CE electromagnetic compatibility standards. It requires installation of dedicated VCP drivers on Windows operating systems to realize normal serial communication. The adapter supports plug-and-play after driver installation and matches dedicated connecting cables including 5417-1262 USB cable and LR04144 signal cable.
Hot plug operation can be implemented under normal conditions, yet users are recommended to disconnect communication links before controller power switching to avoid communication abnormality.
