Description

The 4-Channel Relay Module is a full-height device designed to deliver four independent relay outputs. There is no restriction on the quantity of 4-Channel Relay Modules that can be installed—they may be placed in any of the slots situated to the right of the Transient Data Interface Module. Each individual output of the 4-Channel Relay Module supports independent programming, enabling the implementation of custom voting logic as required.

Every relay integrated into the 4-Channel Relay Module is equipped with built-in Alarm Drive Logic.

The programming of the Alarm Drive Logic leverages basic AND and OR logical operations. It can incorporate a range of input signals, including alarming inputs (such as Alert and Danger statuses), Not-OK signals, or individual PPLs (Per-Point Logic) derived from any monitor channel within the rack—either a single monitor channel or a combination of multiple monitor channels.

To tailor the Alarm Drive functionality to specific application requirements, users can utilize the 3500 Rack Configuration Software for programming.

Outputs

OK LED: Lights up when the module is operating normally.
TX/RX LED: Functions as Transmit and Receive indicator. Flashes to signify stable communication between this module and other modules installed within the rack.
CH ALARM LED: Illuminates to indicate that the corresponding Relay Channel is in an alarm state.
